...Or to Pastor Richard?
"I have recently considered leaving full-time ministry because the immense stress of pastoring is overwhelming and I feel so isolated and alone."
Richard
Lead Pastor
Pastor James had to get away to think. The past week had been nonstop with a mixture of interruptions and routine responsibilities. As he sat in his office, he felt like the walls were pressing in on him.
Driving to one of his favorite spots on the nearby lake, he sat and looked out over the water. As he did, the weight of his congregation’s needs began pressing heavily on his heart. He loved being a pastor. He knew it was what he was called to do and he valued the ministry God had given him deeply.
But, the endless demands were beginning to take their toll. Pastor James knew he was called to serve and give himself to others, but he also felt himself running on empty.
He longed for a space where he could find encouragement. He needed someone he could talk to, share his struggles with, and even grow in his pastoral leadership.
Sitting along the water listening to the stillness of nature around him, he knew it was time he did something. For his family, for his congregation, and for himself.
